Making a LOGJAM Game

For use with version 2.0 of the LOGJAM rules by Allen Sliwinski

The following guidelines should help enthusiasts to make their own logjam games.

The Logs

The logs can be cut from any material from poster board to 1/4-inch plywood. A sheet 7" by 3" is all that is required. Cut the logs from the sheet and paint them black.

The Board

The board should be made from two 10" by 20" sheets of poster board. Al used No. 100 Cold Press Surface Illustration Board from Crescent. Draw one-inch squares on the sheets and attach one inch wide strips of the same material used for the logs to the 10" sides of both sheets and to one of the 20" sides of one of the sheets. Use duct tape to hinge the sheets together into a 20" square board. The board should have a raised border on three of its four sides and an 18" by 19" playing surface.

The Loggers (or chips)

The loggers that we use are old wooden risk chips. But any small tokens will do if you can get or make them in six different colors.
